county located in the northern part of
the
U.S. state of
Minnesota. As of 2000, the population
was 39,650. Its
county seat is
Bemidji.6
Portions of the
Leech Lake and
Red Lake
Indian reservations are in the county.

mi˛) of it is land and 1,425

is water.
