Kanabec County is a county located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of 2000, the population is 14,996. Its county seat is Mora6. It is named after the Ojibwe for the Snake River — Kanabecosippi or Ginebigo-ziibi — which flows through this county.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,381 km˛ (533 mi˛). 1,360 km˛ (525 mi˛) of it is land and 22 km˛ (8 mi˛) of it (1.58%) is water.
