Conger is a city in Freeborn County, Minnesota. County Road 17 is the main route in the community. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.12 square miles (0.31 km2), all of it land. The elevation is 1,293 ft (394 m).

As of the census of 2010, there were 146 people, 62 households, and 38 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,216.7 inhabitants per square mile (469.8/km2). There were 69 housing units at an average density of 575.0 per square mile (222.0/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 97.3% White, 0.7% Asian, and 2.1% from two or more races.

There were 62 households of which 33.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.0% were married couples living together, 6.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.8% had a male householder with no wife present, and 38.7% were non-families. 30.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 2.92.

The median age in the city was 32.7 years. 26.7% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.6% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 34.9% were from 25 to 44; 19.2% were from 45 to 64; and 11.6% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 53.4% male and 46.6% female.

CONGER, a city in Alden Township, section 24, incorporated as a village on April 27, 1934, was named by railroad officers for Congressman Edwin Hurd Conger of Des Moines, Iowa, who was later ambassador to China, Brazil, and Mexico and died in 1907; the post office began in 1901.
