Beltrami County
is a
county located in the northern part of
the
U.S. state of
Minnesota. As of 2000, the population
was 39,650. Its
county seat is
Bemidji.6
Portions of the
Leech Lake and
Red Lake
Indian reservations are in the county.
According to
the
U.S. Census Bureau, the
county has a total area of
7,914
km² (3,056
mi²). 6,489 km² (2,505
mi²) of it is land and 1,425
km² (550 mi²) of it (18.01%)
is water.
