Police Logs 

A two-vehicle accident occurred at 7:42 p.m. Saturday at 1201 Westridge Road. A 2017 Kia Optima, driven by Michelle Lynn Hofstetter, 34, of Sleepy Eye, was eastbound on Westridge Road in front of 1202 Westridge, while a 1998 Ford F-150 driven by Gayln Keith Schnobrich Jr, 39, of New Ulm, was westbound on Westridge.

DHS affirms Winthrop daycare license suspension

Minnesota kindergarten teacher accused of sex with teen to stand trial next week 

A female teacher charged in April with third-degree criminal sexual conduct will stand trial next week in Sibley County District Court. Megan Jo Johnson, 40, allegedly had sex with a 17-year-old boy who came to the private school where she worked.

Michele Schroeder to receive Service to Ag Award 

The New Ulm Farm City Hub Club announceS that Michele Schroeder of rural Courtland is the 2018 recipient of the club's Service to Agriculture Award. Five past award recipients informed Schroeder of the honor when they walked into her office at Upper Midwest Management Monday, Nov. 13. The Service to Agriculture Award recognizes a person or persons who promote agriculture in the community.
