Suspect in infant death charged with murder

2 Sartell girls, 1 man injured in rollover 

At 7:06 a.m., a 2005 Ford pickup driven by Eric John Demuth, 34, of Sartell was travelling east on Morrison County Road 52 in Pike Creek Township. Demuth and his passengers, 11-year-old Kamryn Rae Demuth and 12-year-old Brooke Madison Demuth, both of Sartell, all sustained injuries not believed to be life threatening, according to a patrol report.

Chasidy Kampa was driving west on Nature Road, about a half of a mile east of 330th Avenue in Morrill Township at about 12:05 p.m. Richard Popp, 65, of Royalton, was driving a dump truck east on Nature Road at the same time.

Advocates hail child's return to mother as victory against Minnesota child protection system 

The child protection system in Minnesota is unjust and harmful to children, an advocacy group argued Tuesday, and as evidence, pointed to the decision by a state judge last week to return a 1-year-old boy to his mother. "I am mad at the system for failing me and my son," said Amanda Weber, who brought her recently returned son, Zayvion, to a news conference in St. Paul.
