Former Minnesota golf club manager sentenced for stealing $292,000 

The former general manager of the Little Crow Country Club near Willmar in central Minnesota was granted a stay of adjudication Friday in his criminal case for stealing almost $300,000 from the club while employed there. Samuel Dean Drodofsky, 57, of Spicer, in April agreed to plead guilty to one count of felony theft.

Willmar man facing explosives, firearms charges denied bail 

A federal magistrate on Friday ordered a Willmar, Minn., man held without bail on charges that he had massed an arsenal of machine guns, silencers and explosives and allegedly threatened court personnel and an informant. Chad Lee Monson, 46, was one of five people arrested at his home in late January on drugs and weapons charges.

Willmar man indicted after raid found machine guns, rocket launchers 

Before authorities seized a cache of machine guns, rocket launchers and pipe bombs from a Willmar man's bunker earlier this year, prosecutors say he allegedly discussed targeting a judge and two attorneys with homemade bombs. A federal grand jury indicted Chad Lee Monson last week on 18 counts, including numerous firearms violations, tied to an arsenal law enforcement officers found when they searched his rural Kandiyohi County property.

Mother who fled Nebraska with three sons in February found in Willmar 

WILLMAR, Minn.- Willmar Police officers arrested a Nebraska woman Tuesday afternoon who was wanted for fleeing with her three sons she had lost custody of from Norfolk on Feb. 19. Juana Jose Larios, 21, was working in the city under an alias and arrested on charges of forgery and being a fugitive from justice. The three sons, all under age 5, were found to be in good health and were placed in the custody of family services.
