Potential Wisconsin Dam Breach Prompts Flash Flood Warning 

The National Weather Service in Duluth MN has issued a Flash Flood Warning for a potential dam failure in Douglas County. The warning also includes East central Pine County in Minnesota, southwestern Douglas County in Wisconsin, and north central Burnett County in Wisconsin.

Deputy pulls woman from sinking car in Minnesota lake 

AVOID PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO THE HEAT, ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE HIGHEST. CHECK IN ON FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS, MOST IMPORTANTLY CHILDREN AND THE ELDERLY WHO ARE MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE HEAT.

76-Year-Old Woman Drives Off Bridge, Rescued by Police and Citizen 

A woman drove off a bridge and ended up in Lake Latoka Saturday night before an officer and the initial caller pulled her to safety near Alexandria. According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, at approximately 9:17 p.m. the sheriff's office was assisted by the state patrol with a motor vehicle accident in the construction area on Interstate 94. It was reported a vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane in the construction area.

Motorcycle crash under investigation in Douglas County Sunday, June 10 

Alexandria, MN - The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a motorcyclist left the scene of a crash. Authorities say around 6:10 p.m. Friday, a 911 caller reported that a motorcycle had crashed in the grassy triangle where County Road 9 curves to the west.

4 Arrested in 2 Drug Busts in Alexandria 

According to the Alexandria Police Department, 37-year-old Jamie Gerdes, 26-year-old Hanna Reese, 32-year-old Michael Kirkpatrick and 39-year-old Darin Gilsdorf have been booked into the Douglas County Jail on various charges related to drugs, firearms and assault.
