Perhaps you saw it on TV the other day: a 17-year-old boy who had prepared since the age of 6 to be an EMT and save lives. It was one of Boyd Hupert's "Land of 10,000 Stories" series.

Sandy Millerbernd is pleased to announce that the library is starting a new program entitled English Language Class to help Hispanic families in the Eden Valley community learn English. EV-W graduate Dyani Acosta is one of the few bilingual people in this area and she is eager to be involved in teaching those who want to learn.

Man pleads guilty to killing 5-year-old Watkins girl 

A 27-year-old Coon Rapids man on Friday admitted to killing 5-year-old Alayna Jeanne Ertl of Watkins in the summer of 2016. Zachary Todd Anderson was scheduled to appear Friday in a Cass County District Courtroom in Walker for a pre-trial hearing in front of Judge Jana M. Austad.
