One injured in Highway 14 crash 

A Brookings, South Dakota, woman was injured Friday afternoon in a one-vehicle rollover west of Walnut Grove, the Minnesota State Patrol said. The crash was reported at 1:10 p.m. Friday, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 14 and Crown Avenue in Redwood County.

Crash injures 3 near Walnut Grove 

Three people were injured in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday evening near Walnut Grove, the Redwood County Sheriff's Office said. The crash was reported at 5:56 p.m. on Redwood County Road 5 south of Walnut Grove, the Sheriff's Office said.

Onetime top cop in Walnut Grove, Minn., admits trying to buy sex from 17-year-old 

The onetime police chief in Walnut Grove, one of Minnesota's most famous towns, has admitted to trying to buy sex from someone he believed was a teenage girl. Michael R. Zeug, 46, pleaded guilty to attempting to hire a minor for sex, a gross misdemeanor, in June 2017.

Road construction ahead 

It's still about a year away, but southwest Minnesota residents are getting some advance notice of road construction planned along U.S. Highway 14. A resurfacing project along will repair the pavement and other structures along the highway between Tracy and Revere in 2019 - but it will also mean detours. While some details of the planned project have not been finalized yet, representatives of the Minnesota Department of Transportation said they hope to complete the construction in spring and early summer 2019.
