Wells Fargo Closing 4 Northland Branches 

The bank's Blackduck branch will close on May 16 at noon, and the branches in Eveleth, Silver Bay, and downtown Bemidji will close on July 11 at noon. The branches are among hundreds the bank is closing nationwide this year.

Metro area braces heavy snow today; up to 15 inches expected 

Minnesotans burrowed in Saturday morning as a dangerous April snowstorm that dropped rain and sleet overnight turned to all snow. The Twin Cities saw a lull in the storm Saturday morning, but heavy snow was still expected to move in later in the day.

This storm will bring strong winds to coastal areas of Lake Superior, affecting areas from Silver Bay through Two Harbors, through the Twin Ports and ...LAKESHORE FLOODING THIS MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING... .Strong northeast winds of 25 to 35 knots with gales to 45 knots are expected over western Lake Superior this morning through mid- morning Sunday. The resultant waves will cause lakeshore flooding from near Two Harbors to the Twin Ports to Saxon Harbor.

Depending who you are, the Trump Administration's tariffs on steel and aluminum either means the celebratory clinking of glasses or wary knocking on wood. The Twin Ports is coming off a good year, contributing to Minnesota's export growth in 2017.

Driver faces charges in fatal North Shore crash that killed ND motorcyclist 

TWO HARBORS, Minn.-An Iowa man has pleaded not guilty in connection with a crash that killed a North Dakota motorcyclist on the North Shore along Lake Superior last summer. Daniel Arlin Schutte, 56, is charged with careless driving and failure to yield in the August collision that killed 50-year-old Jennifer Ann White of Grand Forks, N.D. Authorities said Schutte illegally turned his pickup truck in front of White's motorcycle on State Highway 61 north of Two Harbors.

Chain saw artist entertains people in Vernon Hills 

Legendary chain saw artist John Gage quickly turned a solid four-foot log into a wonderful sculpture of a bear Tuesday during the grand opening of Menards Mega Store in Vernon Hills. Gage, from Two Harbors, Minnesota, has been creating wooden sculptures of eagles, owls and gnomes the past few days as he represents Poulan Pro & Jonsered chain saws as part of the grand opening.
