State Patrol Reports 486 Crashes in State from Midnight to 11 AM Monday 

The Minnesota state patrol reports a total of 486 crashes from midnight to 11 a.m. Monday as roads remain slick after Sunday's snowfall. The total included two crashes with fatalities in Eagan and Thief River Falls, and 42 in which injuries were reported.

2 Karlstad teens injured in crash15 min ago 

Two teens from Karlstad, Minn., were injured Sunday morning, Jan. 14, when the car they were in rear-ended a semi-trailer in Marshall County, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

Notable arrests included a man in Fairmont who was arrested both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Near Thief River Falls, the state patrol arrested one drunk driver while he was trying to pull another impaired driver out of the ditch.

Digi-Key one step closer to breaking ground on $300 million expansion in northern Minn. 

Mayor Brian Holmer said the Thief River Falls City Council recently approved the equivalent of an environmental study to put Digi-Key Electronics one step closer to breaking ground on its $300 million expansion project. "It's a big step moving forward to the next level," he said.
