A sign hanging on the door of the warming house in Ranier says the rink is closed. Warm temperatures have closed the local rink, according to the Ranier Rec Club's Facebook page.

Red Wing council weighs bonding requests 

Red Wing City Council Member Peggy Rehder wants the city to hold back on its requests for state bonding funds. With recent success in acquiring bonding money, Rehder said, "Red Wing is looking pretty greedy" to state legislators by asking for several bonding item such as the $14.7 million Sturgeon Lake Rail Grade Separation project.

Another winter bounty for visiting anglers Posted at 

The family of Janie Johnson from Sturgeon Lake, MN was in town again for some fishing the first of December. "We love your beach and come down most every month to fish," Johnson texted.

New Electric Vehicle Charging Station Open in Sturgeon Lake 

A new electric vehicle charging station opened today. The station is off of I-35 in Sturgeon Lake and it's one of three that are part of Minnesota's first electric corridor between Duluth and the Twin Cities.

Minnesota's first electric corridor is paving the route for electric vehicle owners to experience the North Shore in ways they have never been able to before. From the Twin Cities to Tettegouche State Park and all of the places in between, it's possible to go farther than ever in an electric vehicle as charging stations are now located along the I-35 corridor and Highway 61, allowing drivers to plug in and head out for new adventures.
