A 2000 Nissan Exterra driven by Kathleen M. Trevino, 33, Stewart, was eastbound on 212, hit a patch of ice, lost control, entered the ditch and rolled. Trevino was transported to Glencoe Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

DNR seeks information on deer poaching 

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources conservation officers seek information leading to arrests in two incidents where deer were illegally taken earlier this month. Both cases involve shooting deer on private property after shooting hours.

BCA names suspect, sergeant in St. Cloud shooting Monday Suspect fired shots as he tried to flee home; deputy shot him twice in leg Check out this story on sctimes.com: http://on.sctimes.com/2x7aovc The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension identified Wednesday both the suspect and the deputy who shot him Monday night when authorities were called for a possible assault at a St. Cloud home. According to a BCA news release, Lazaro Domingo Diaz, 37, fired several gunshots as he tried to flee 7118 Northwood Lane.

Golf course volunteers continue to work 

Large riding lawnmowers whirred as they churned through tall, thick grass on the first and ninth holes at the Fort Ridgely State Park golf course Monday. Volunteers Jo Wendlandt and her husband Mike of Stewart were mowing the fairway and grass around the green on the ninth hole.

Construction to connect final four cities to RS Fiber Network to begin next month 

RS Fiber Cooperative begin the final stage of its state-of-the-art fiber-optic network next month. Plans to begin construction to link the cities of Brownton, Buffalo Lake, Fairfax, and Stewart to the RS Fiber network is scheduled to start by the end of June.
