Wilkin County family homeless in weekend fire 

A home in Rothsay, Minnesota was destroyed by fire Saturday afternoon. Homeowners, Kevin and Kimberly Tangen, along with their pets, were not home at the time.

Drunk driver with children in vehicle arrested after high speed chase Wednesday, December 6 

A suspected drunk driver was arrested after leading authorities on a high speed chase with his children in the vehicle last night in Wilkin County. The sheriff's office says around 5:30 p.m., a caller reported a vehicle swerving on I-94 before exiting at Rothsay and heading north on Wilkin County Road 52. Deputies located the vehicle south of Barnseville and attempted to pull it over but the vehicle fled west on a minimum maintenance road.

Minnesota's Beyer Towing Donates Hauling 20 Semis Of Hay To No. Dakota 

A Minnesota towing and hauling company is teaming up with a Plains farm aid nonprofit this weekend to ship tons of hay for about a dozen drought-stricken ranchers in North Dakota. Beyer Towing in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, and Farm Rescue have organized a convoy of 14 semi-loads of hay on Saturday and another half dozen loads on Sunday.
