Study: Minnesotans, North Dakotans more likely to suffer depression 

Depression is a growing condition throughout the United States, but according to a massive new study, Minnesotans and North Dakotans struggle more than most. The survey shows 5.8 percent of all adults in Minnesota and 5.1 percent of North Dakota adults have major depression.

Campion plans to seek re-election in ward seat 

Campion announced today he plans to seek re-election for his Ward 3 seat, citing a desire to continue work started in his first term. "I've listened to you, the student, the new parent, the professional, the business owner, the senior citizen," he said in a statement.

Landmark status sought for Rochester service station 

Schmitt's request is being presented to Rochester's Heritage Preservation Commission during its 5 p.m. meeting Tuesday in council chambers of the city-county Government Center, 151 Fourth St. SE. That nomination resulted in a split commission recommending landmark designation, and the Rochester City Council opting to not make the designation.

Rochester man arrested in assault of officers, theft 

Lance Donovan, 22, of Big Lake, may face multiple charges stemming from the incident, including a felony probation violation, gross misdemeanor fourth-degree assault of a peace officer, and misdemeanors of theft of property, obstruction of justice and a probation violation. The incident took place around 11 p.m. Friday in the 4600 block of 27th Avenue Northwest in Rochester.

Rochester man stabbed multiple times in fight 

A 35-year-old Rochester man was stabbed Friday in a parking lot in the 1900 Block of 8A1 2 Street SE in Rochester. The man was reportedly stabbed multiple times in the chest and left shoulder at 7:35 p.m. after a fight with his assailant.

Rochester man in custody after assault with a hammer 

Frank Towers, 40, may face a felony charge of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor charges of domestic assault, disorderly conduct and obstruction after he reportedly hit his 52-year-old guest with a hammer, causing him to bleed from the head. The incident took place at 412 8th Ave. NW in Rochester, where Towers is listed as the permanent resident.

2-Vehicle Crash in Northwest Rochester 

On Saturday early afternoon, one person suffered minor injuries in a crash on Rochester's northwest side. Officials at the scene told ABC 6 News, one vehicle was pulling out from 9th Avenue Northwest onto Elton Hills Drive when they were hit by a vehicle heading west on Elton Hills.
