DMCC Holds Final Meeting of the Year 

"We're closing in on the end of the year of a very successful year for DMC and for the community as a whole," said Lisa Clarke, Executive Director of DMC Economic Development Agency. "A little nostalgic, there's so many of these things now, it's the last one I will do," he said as his days as Rochester's mayor are numbered.

Diwali celebration held at Children's Museum 

The Minnesota Children's Museum Rochester came alive Saturday as dancers clad in vibrant warm tones ushered in Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights. "It's a joy to share our culture and also our celebration with the newer generations here in Rochester," said Ganga Gopalkrishnan, a member of the Rochester Vidhyalaya, a nonprofit organization promoting arts, music, culture and education of India in the greater Rochester area.

Stuart Pimsler Dance developing 'Family Album' in Rochester schools 

The dance company is spending two weeks at Rochester's Jefferson School this month, and then two weeks at Bamber Valley School in December, as part of its "Family Albums/Reaching Across Rochester" project. Stuart Pimsler dancers will explore with students their family stories, histories and legacy, and assist the students in developing a performance blending movement, music, video and spoken word.
