Rochester Police Officer Who Opposed Racial Bias and Excessive Force... 

A Rochester, Minn. police officer has obtained a $1 million settlement from the city of Rochester to resolve her employment discrimination and retaliation claims against the Rochester Police Department, according to Minneapolis-based Halunen Law, the firm representing the officer.

Answer Man: No coal burning? No need for cooling towers 

The cooling towers at RPU's Silver Lake power plant were demolished last week. They were no longer needed since coal-fired electric generation at the plant ended in 2013.

University of Utah Health ranked 6th among 107 academic medical systems nationwide 

A recently concluded quality of care study has ranked the University of Utah Health system sixth among 107 academic medical centers nationwide. The system was ranked for the safety, timeliness, effectiveness, efficiency and equity of its care, as well as its focus on patients, University of Utah Health spokeswoman Kathy Wilets said in a statement.

Gun stolen from unlocked vehicle in Stewartville 

Sometime between 9 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday, the 9mm Glock handgun was stolen from the center console of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Peregrine Place Northwest, said Capt. Scott Behrns of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office.

Volunteers find missing Kenyon man after 16 hours 

After a 16-hour search, a group of volunteers located an 80-year-old Kenyon man who went missing from his assisted living facility late Saturday night. Around 3:10 p.m. Sunday, volunteers found Charles Armstrong in Depot Park, near Washington Street, said Kenyon Police Chief Lee Sjolander.
