Taking a STAND: Planned Parenthood program educates Native youth on sex ed 

BEMIDJI, Minn.-For years, Sierra Charwood looked forward to the year she would finally be old enough to participate in Native STAND. Charwood's mother had worked for the program, which aims to educated Native American youth in Bemidji, Red Lake and Cass Lake about sexual health.

No travel ban lifted for Red Lake, Pennington counties 

At 7 a.m., the Minnesota Department of Transportation lifted a no travel advisory in Red Lake and Pennington counties. Due to blowing snow and whiteout conditions it remains in effect for the western portions of Kittson, Marshall, Norman and Polk counties.

Red Lake Council votes to allow fishing on lakes after fishermen go missing

Saying child sexual abuse charge not credible, Crookston Diocese reinstates priest 

The Crookston Catholic Diocese has reinstated a priest who served parishes in Clay County who was accused of sexual misconduct of a minor.a Local and federal authorities investigated a claim Father Pat Sullivan engaged in "unpermitted sexual conduct" with a 15-year old boy while serving as a pastor at a church in Red Lake, Minnesota in 2008 but no charges were filed. Sullivan was put on administrative leave from his assignment as pastor of St. Elizabeth and St. Andrews parishes in Dilworth and Hawley when the complaint was made in April of 2016.

Another northwest Minn. reservation issues warning after heroin overdoses 

RED LAKE, Minn.-An overdose on the Red Lake reservation prompted law enforcement there to warn the public about heroin-related risks Tuesday. According to a release posted on the Red Lake Police Department's Facebook page Tuesday afternoon, an overdose victim was "dumped" at the Red Lake hospital on either Monday or Tuesday.
