Fire destroys Nisswa beauty shop 

Minnesota State Fire Marshal Mark Germain and Nisswa firefighters investigate the debris left over from a structure fire Tuesday morning at Boberg Lumber in Nisswa. The building, which houses a beauty shop, was destroyed.

Brainerd crash injures Pequot Lakes man4 min ago 

A 23-year-old Pequot Lakes man was injured in a car accident that closed a portion of County Road 3 in Brainerd for awhile Monday morning, Jan. 15, according to the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office.

Pequot Lakes juniors to represent school in ExCEL program 

Pequot Lakes High School juniors Molly Johnson and Ben Golden will represent the school this year in the ExCEL-Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership-a recognition program designed for Minnesota high school juniors who are active in school activities, show leadership qualities and are model citizens. This is the 21st year the Minnesota State High School League has sponsored the ExCEL Award.
