Horse rescued in Oronoco Township 

The 13- to 14-year-old Arabian got loose along with two thoroughbreds, Samson and Akila, after Samson broke through a fence where the horses were being boarded, according to their owner, Michelle Palmer. Olmsted County Sheriff's deputies were called around 2:15 a.m. to Oronoco Township for the loose horses in the area of 75th Street near 11th Avenue Northwest, according to Capt.

Firefighters, Veterinarian, Utility Workers Save Horse Stuck on Power Line 

Around 2:15 Tuesday morning, October 2, Olmsted County Sheriff's deputies were called to the area of 75 St and 11 Ave NW in Oronoco Township. Apparently, three horses had gotten loose and were running at large in that area.

Answer Man: Stewartville is not a suburb - yet 

Dear Answer Man, yesterday, I was driving up U.S. 63, and I don't think it was even a mile out of Stewartville when I saw a sign for the Rochester city limits. Does that mean I had arrived in Rochester? I'm not sure what the definition of a suburb is, but I assume it's when two jurisdictions meet up.

Fire at Watson Recycling in Oronoco 

Multiple agencies responded to a fire at Watson Recycling in Oronoco early Friday morning. A witness called 911 and reported seeing flames shooting from the area.

Thousands of Dollars Worth of Stuff Stolen from Garage in Oronoco 

It happened sometime between September 14 and 16 and was reported on the 19. According to Olmsted County Sheriff Captain Scott Behrns, someone had forced entry into the attached garage by using a metal pipe to smash a hole in the side door in order to unlock it.
