Oronoco homeowner returns to find intruder 

The owner of a home in the 1100 block of Riverwood Drive Southwest in Oronoco returned home from a breakfast outing Saturday morning to find a woman walking out of a bathroom in their house. They tried to detain the burglar, but the woman was able to force her way past them to get out of the house, and then fled in a vehicle, said Capt.

Oronoco woman charged in 2016 traffic death 

An Oronoco woman has been charged with vehicular criminal homicide in connection with a multi-vehicle crash in 2016 at a Dakota County intersection. Lori Janine Joefs, 56, is alleged to have driven through a stop sign at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 56 and Dakota County Road 88 on Oct. 22, 2016.

Stewartville Man Allegedly Breaks Window & Threatens Homeowner with Bat 

Captain Scott Behrns with the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, said 38-year-old John Tomforde, who is known to law enforcement, allegedly threatened a 46-year-old man with a bat and damaged his Oronoco home. Captain Behrns said Tomforde was apparently upset with the victim for being with his girlfriend.

Charges: Woman Was On Cell Phone Before Dakota County Fatal Crash 

MINNEAPOLIS - A 56-year-old woman from southeastern Minnesota is facing multiple charges in a 2016 crash that left one person dead and a man seriously injured. Lori Hoefs of Oronoco is charged with one count of criminal vehicular homicide and two counts of criminal vehicular operation in connection with the Oct. 22, 2016 crash.
