'Vehicle of interest' sought after man fatally shot in Mille Lacs County 

Mille Lacs County authorities say a 34-year-old man from Onamia, Minn., was fatally shot outside a residence Sunday afternoon. A woman called 911 about 12:40 p.m. after Benjamin Charles Blake, Jr., rang her doorbell and asked for a ride to the hospital.

Vehicle strikes man crossing intersection at night 

A 35-year-old Onamia man was critically injured Monday, Aug. 20, after he was struck by a passenger car when he was crossing an intersection just north of Mille Lacs Grand Casino in Mille Lacs County. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash reported at 10:29 p.m. It was reported Jacob T. Corner, 24, Brainerd, was driving a Chevrolet Lumina north on Highway 169 in Kathio Township when he struck Christopher W. Weous at the crossing of Noopiming Lane.

Charges pending for Onamia burglary suspects 

Two Onamia suspects face formal criminal charges for their involvement in felony theft of a motor vehicle from a residence and felony damage to property at a business in Bellevue Township in Morrison County. Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen said deputies responded June 18 to a residential burglary at a residence north of Royalton.
