Police Blotter - Aug, 21 

A 26-year-old man and a 39-year-old man were arrested at 3:36 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, for drug sale and possession during a traffic stop on West Washington Street in Brainerd. A 51-year-old man was arrested at 10:31 p.m. Saturday for indecent conduct, disorderly conduct and fleeing following a report of an intoxicated person on the 14000 block of Edgewood Drive.

Friends of Nisswa Lake Park seeks leadership team member 

The Friends of Nisswa Lake Park is looking to expand its leadership team to promote and fundraise for the final stages of park development. The FONLP is a registered nonprofit dedicated to the completion of Nisswa Lake Park, which now has bike trails, dock for access to Nisswa and a picnic pavilion with electricity.

The Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters and Nisswa Chamber, will invite the two winners of the gubernatorial primary election to participate in a local debate. We expect this to be the first statewide debate following the primary.
