State parks targeted for better accessibility for the disabled 

Katie Alee, 16-year-old wheelchair user and accessibility advocate, center, met with other state representatives and advocates at the William O'Brien State Park for a press conference where she spoke for accessibility improvements needed at the park and other statewide parks, Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Marine on St. Croix, MN. Governor Mark Dayton has submitted a $10 million bonding request for accessibility improvements at Minnesota state parks.

Courts 

No Minnesota driver's license - Theophilus C. Thomas, 21, of Blue Earth; fined $185. Michael D. Jerke, 50, of Lakeville had a charge of failure to drive with due care-speed greater than reasonable continued for dismissal; three months probation to the court, no speeding, no speeding violations.

ALC, Nerstrand Elementary and Middle School included in bond referendum 

Faribault Area Learning Center art students work outside on a nice fall day. Their building is a converted office building which houses 120 Faribault students.

Authorities Search for Missing Child Near Kenyon 

She was wearing a purple Peace Luthern school t-shirt, blue jeans with holes in the knees and pink sandals. According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, she is known to chase cats into the cornfield on the family farm and may be lost.
