Crime and Accidents for July 19 

A boys' style bicycle reported found at 3:47 a.m. Wednesday on the 1000 block of East College Drive was taken to the impound, Marshall Police said. MARSHALL - A 30-year-old male was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant in an incident reported at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday on the 500 block of West Lyon Street, Marshall Police said.

Repairs coming for storm-damaged roads in Lyon County, highway engineer says 

Repairs are still underway on Lyon County roads, two weeks after severe rains caused washouts and other damage around the county. County Highway Engineer Aaron VanMoer said crews will be working on two roads that have been closed after culverts washed away.

Damage to a door was reported at 6:11 p.m. Tuesday on the 200 block of West Main Street, Marshall Police said. MINNEOTA - An incident was reported at 3:23 p.m. Tuesday on the 700 block of North Madison Street, Minneota Police said.

Crime and Accidents for July 3 

A 19-year-old male was cited for underage drinking and driving at 10:40 p.m. Sunday on the 300 block of Seventh Street, the Lyon County Sheriff's Department said. MARSHALL - A 32-year-old male was cited for no Minnesota driver's license in an incident reported at 9:22 a.m. Sunday on the 1200 block of East College Drive, Marshall Police said.

Crime for June 27 

A 30-year-old female was cited for an instruction permit violation in a traffic incident reported at 4:19 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of South Fourth Street and Lynd Street, Marshall Police said. MARSHALL - A 19-year-old male was cited for having expired vehicle registration tabs in a traffic incident reported at 11:24 p.m. Monday at the intersection of College Drive and Park Avenue, Marshall Police said.

James Duncan 

James Roy Duncan, 82, of Cottonwood, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. A visitation for friends and family will be from 4 - 6 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo with sharing of memories and a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. James Roy Duncan Jr. was born to James Duncan, a farmer and Lorna Duncan, a nurse on June 28, 1935 in Pipestone, Minn.
