Game on? Twins president proposes Milroy vs. Milroy at Target Field 

Milroy Irish manager Bob Dolan and his 14-year-old nephew Ezekiel Dolan replace numbers on the scoreboard at Irish Yard. For the last three years, the Minnesota Twins have hosted the Town Ball Classic, which brings a half-dozen teams to Target Field for a day of baseball in the summer.

Milroy's big rhubarb

Labat returns to his roots 

The Green Valley native Labat moved back to the Marshall area June 26 to assume service to area Catholic churches as one of three new priests to serve the Bread of Life Faith Community and Our Lady of the Prairie Faith Community. "One thing I really look forward to is being in my home area, again, and getting to work with people I knew about before," "I'll be trying to get my feet on the ground, get to know what groups are active in Marshall, Tracy and Milroy."

Marshall School Board approves preliminary 2018-2019 budget 

At its regular meeting on Monday, the Marshall School Board approved six action items, including approval of the preliminary 2018-2019 budget. Business director Bruce Lamprecht highlighted several different areas during the budget presentation - the last one for the retiring business director.

Last weekend Mass 

The end of an era of weekend Masses at Walnut Grove's St. Paul's Catholic Church was observed with a visit from Bishop John LeVoir Sunday. St. Paul's building will still be available for weddings and funerals, said Tom Keaveny, director of pastoral planning for the New Ulm Diocese.
