Marshall School Board approves preliminary 2018-2019 budget 

At its regular meeting on Monday, the Marshall School Board approved six action items, including approval of the preliminary 2018-2019 budget. Business director Bruce Lamprecht highlighted several different areas during the budget presentation - the last one for the retiring business director.

Filings for public offices released 

Several different public offices will be up for election in Lyon and surrounding counties this fall. The filing period for candidates for county offices closed Tuesday.

Crime-Accidents 

A Marshall man, 30, was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing at 4:45 a.m. Sunday on the 1300 block of Peterson Street, Marshall Police said. MARSHALL - A Marshall man, 37, was arrested on a Lyon County warrant in an incident reported at 12:02 p.m. Saturday on the 100 block of Lilac Drive, Marshall Police said.

Residents prepare gravesites for Memorial Day weekend; keep traditions alive 

For so many, Memorial Day is a time for reflection, paying respects and maybe even reconnecting with friends and family members. It's ultimately a day to recognize and honor all Americans who died while serving their county, but it has also evolved into an informal time of remembrance for others as well.

Good Morning! More scattered t-storms are ahead today, mainly for eastern KELOLAND. Scattered t-storms yesterday produced locally heavy rain, including around 1.5" in Marshall MN.
