Manhattan Beach: Council hears no feedback on Northern States Power agreement 

The Manhattan Beach City Council heard no citizen comments during a public hearing about the city's new franchise agreement with Northern States Power at its Tuesday, July 3, council meeting, according to unapproved draft meeting minutes. a Learned from Mayor Paul Allen that the city's recently installed radar signs are not working properly, and he does not know when Crow Wing County will get a chance to look at them.

A 15-year-old teen wakeboarding behind a boat injured her ankle after she fell and got tangled in the tow rope at 2:07 p.m. July 3 on Big Trout Lake near Manhattan Beach.

Manhattan Beach Council Previews Plans for July 14 Town Meeting 

If residents of Manhattan Beach miss the July 14 meeting to discuss the future of their community, they can't say they didn't know about it. Organizer Kevin Larson updated the City Council on plans during the Council's regular monthly meeting held Tuesday, July 3. Mayor Paul Allen was present along with Council members Janis Allen, Marlene Yurek and Clerk-Treasurer Amy Wannebo.
