Pine Grove Zoo offers Walk-a-Bout with the Roos 

Get an up, close and personal experience with Pine Grove Zoo's red kangaroo joeys, Sydney and Bindi. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about joey development, marsupials and about the zoo's Kangaroo Mob.

First Congregational United Church of Christ in Brainerd will have an Interdenominational Taize Prayer Service 6 p.m. Thursday, May 17, in the church sanctuary. Taize is a small village in eastern France.

Attorney possessed child porn, charges say 

Kent Frederick Strunk, 49, was arraigned Friday in Morrison County District Court in Little Falls on the felony. Morrison County Attorney Brian Middendorf appointed the Stearns County Attorney's Office as a special prosecutor on the case.

That Drone You Got Could Get You in Huge Trouble 

A drone flying over a fire forced an air tanker helicopter to land while trying to extinguish a large fire north of Little Falls the other day, and law enforcement is looking for its owner. This is just one of the many issues drones have caused over the years, and Minnesota law enforcement takes the issue very seriously.

Opinion: Water infrastructure costs threaten to cripple rural communities 

Cities across Minnesota are in the midst of a water infrastructure funding crisis, and with just weeks left in the legislative session, we desperately need our lawmakers at the State Capitol to do something about it. My community is one of hundreds in the state currently facing massive costs to upgrade our wastewater treatment facility.
