Lake City council considers marina changes 

Citizens wait to address the city council in Lake City Tuesday. The council held a special meeting to address questions from the planning commission concerning future plans for the marina.

New group for writers forming in Lake City 

The first meeting of a new writers' group in Lake City will be held at 7 p.m. April 18 at the Lake City Art Center, 220 E. Chestnut St. All area writers who are interested in participating are invited to attend. The group, to be called Third Wednesday Writers, will be organized and run much like the Rural America Writers' Center in Plainview.

Mayo Clinic, OMC show profits in independent financial report 

A new report on Minnesota health care shows net revenues climbing at most Mayo Clinic facilities and Olmsted Medical Center, though moves to reduce the number of insured patients could reverse that trend. The study, conducted by Minneapolis-based research consultant Allen Baumgarten, includes data from more than 140 hospitals and health care systems in Minnesota and neighboring states.
