Oak Center opens another season of concerts. 

The 2018-2019 Folk Forum concert series at the Oak Center General Store opens Saturday with a concert by the Dead Pigeons. The Minneapolis-based band is said to play foot-stomping barroom bluegrass music.

Lake City candidate afraid of splitting the vote 

Lake City Council Member Greg Schreck said it would benefit the city if either he or Jason DeVinny dropped out of the race. His reasoning: Of the six candidates on the ballot for three at-large seats in the general election, four - including himself and DeVinny - support the realignment of U.S. Highway 61 from four lanes to three.
