U.S. cargo ship carrying soybeans in race to beat China's retaliatory tariffs 

Lake Benton, Minn., where farmer Bob Worth plants mostly soybeans on his 2,200 acres, could be hit hard by tariffs the Chinese are expected to levy on $34 billion worth of U.S. imports in retaliation for President Trump's tariffs on exports from the Asian country. A ship carrying U.S. soybeans is steaming toward northern China in a race to beat the country's expected 25% retaliatory tariff.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo Catholic Church in Pipestone. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.

State's soybean sales could take big hit if China tariffs proceed 

Bob Worth loaded soybean seeds into his planter on the family farm on May 17 in Lake Benton. In the past when trade wars have been waged too often agricultural businesses have suffered, he said.
