U of M alumni gathering planned in Lafayette 

Calling all Agriculture, Home Economics, and Natural Resources graduates from the University ofa SMinnesota, St. Paul and Waseca Campuses! The first-ever The park is located at 34122 515th Avenue , about five miles east and a mile north of Lafayette. Road construction might necessitate reaching the church park only from the north.

Resources shared at Focus on Vision 

People came from Winthrop, Arlington, St. Peter, New Ulm, and Lafayette to learn about resources available to deal with issues of vision impairment and blindness Wednesday, April 25. They gained information from a panel of experts from the Minnesota State Services for the Blind as well as trustees from the Minnesota Lions Vision Foundation. Charlene Guggisberg was the main presenter.

The Fields of Grace Churches at Lafayette and the Lafayette Area Lions will co-sponsor a Focus on Vision Impairment and Blindness Info & Resource Fair, Wednesday, April 25. The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Lafayette and will include a panel discussion, as well as displays of available resources for those experiencing vision issues. Charlene Guggisberg, a staff member at Minnesota State Services for the Blind, will be the main presenter.

Gateway project starts 

Construction crews set up barricades blocking traffic on 7th Street North from Broadway to the bridge over the Minnesota River. The crews began working on the bridge over Front Street.
