A 10-year-old Minnesota girl continues to improve after she was hit with a piece of a lawnmower blade last month. "It kind of felt like I got hit by a dodgeball," said Skylar Hedstrom, who wound up with a 4-inch scar running from her forehead down the right side of her nose after the June 9 incident, The Pioneer Press of St. Paul, Minnesota, reported.

Superbug infections rising among injection drug users

Two charged in central Minnesota bar attack 

Manslaughter charges have been filed against two men in connection with the May 5 assault of Steven "Beaver" Hlinsky of Forada, the Douglas County Attorney's Office announced Friday, May 18. Troy Nathan Traut, 33, of Alexandria, and Jacob Elmo Larson, 33, of Kensington, are in custody, and each have been charged with one count of first-degree manslaughter and two counts of fifth-degree assault in connection with the death of Hlinsky, the news release said. Hlinsky, a Forada farmer and firefighter, was found on the sidewalk outside the Muddy Boot Bar and Grill in Forada in the early-morning hours of May 5, bleeding from the nose and ear.
