The Jenkins City Council had a heated discussion with Tim Berg, of Bay View Lodge and treasurer of the Whitefish Area Lodging Association, over the city's continued participation in WALA.

County roads to receive seal coating 

The Crow Wing County Highway Department entered into a contract with Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. for the bituminous seal coating of several roads. This includes the following roads: a County Highway 3 starting 3 miles north of County Highway 37 and ending 4 miles north of County Highway 37. Under this contract, various roads in the cities of Jenkins and Breezy Point, as well as the townships of Jenkins, Ideal, and Center will also be seal coated.

Suspect crashes after pursuit in Crosslake, Jenkins21 min ago 

A 26-year-old Wayzata man was arrested Saturday night, June 23, after taking law enforcement on a 10-minute pursuit with speeds up to 100 mph that began in Crosslake and ended near Jenkins.
