Pickup driver loses control north of Twin Cities, causes crash that kills other motorist 

A pickup truck driver lost control Tuesday morning on a road north of the Twin Cities, crossed into the path of a van in the opposite lane and killed the other driver, authorities said. The head-on collision occurred shortly after 7 a.m. on County Road 5 near Holly Drive NW.

Unbelted driver thrown to her death in rollover north of Twin Cities 

A woman crashed her vehicle into a ditch north of the Twin Cities and was thrown to her death, authorities said. The rollover crash occurred about 10:45 a.m. Monday in Bradford Township, roughly 8 miles north of Bethel, the Isanti County Sheriff's Office said.

Wind Chill Advisory Remains in Effect for Dozens of Minn. Counties 

It was a frigid start to Wednesday, with temperatures of -7 degrees in Minneapolis and -9 degrees in St. Paul by 6 a.m., according to KSTP Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow. Meanwhile, some cities outside the metro area experienced even colder air, with Princeton and Cambridge reporting -20 and -17 degrees by 6 a.m., respectively.
