Charter students petition to join La Crescent athletic activities 

Playing a sport in high school can be a defining experience for some but for students at the La Crescent Montessori and STEM charter school, that experience is not an option. They are mere blocks away from the La Crescent-Hokah district, but they are technically their own separate school district.

New early learning center being built in La Crescent 

The First Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Crescent is building a new early learning facility. The facility will be named "First Steps Early Learning Center."

La Crescent voters approve referendum 

A referendum that would raise approximately ten million dollars for the La Crescent-Hokah School District is approved by voters Tuesday. The money would be levied over the next ten years.

La Crescent boys use birthday party to donate to Lancer Strong organization 

A birthday party took place Friday at Old Hickory Park in La Crescent for three very special 11 year old boys. The boys, Drew Todd, Mitchell Reining and Easton Stivarius all forfeited their birthday gifts and instead requested donations to go to the Lancer Strong group.
