As expose book rolls out, Michelle MacDonald's suit stalls 

By the time Supreme Court candidate Michelle MacDonald's defamation suit commences in Ramsey County District Court, the defendants will have released a book divulging new details about her alleged role in covering up two Lakeville children's 2013 disappearance. "The Girls Are Gone," by writers Michael Brodkorb and Allison Mann, is scheduled for release on Oct. 23 on the Minneapolis-based Wise Ink Creative Publishing imprint.

North Dakota woman sentenced in slaying of Minnesota woman 

A North Dakota woman charged as an accomplice in the slaying of a Minnesota woman three years ago has been sentenced to serve 20 years in prison. WDAY-TV reports that 38-year-old Crystal Herman, of Bismarck, pleaded guilty in January in the 2015 death of 36-year-old Amanda Engst, who was originally from Breckenridge, Minnesota.

Wells close to hiring an administrator 

Last Friday, April 6, the Wells city administrator hiring committee met and interviewed five candidates for the city's open position. "Originally, we had six candidates, but only five showed," said city councilwoman Crystal Dulas during Wells' regular City Council meeting last Monday.
