Blizzard eases, but snow will continue 

Snow continued to fall across southern Minnesota Sunday, stretching out an epic weather weekend that closed roads, led to an hourslong airport closure and turned the landscape into a winter wonderland - in mid-April. In the Twin Cities metro area, Saturday's rare-for-the-metro-area blizzard warning had eased into a winter weather advisory for Sunday, with 2 to 4 more inches of snow expected to fall through the day, according to the National Weather Service in Chanhassen .

Hunting accident injures man in Yellow Medicine County 

An 18-year-old man was shot in the ankle in a hunting accident earlier this week, the Redwood County Sheriff's Office said. The man received non life-threatening injuries, the Sheriff's Office said.

Red Wing bakery competes for 'Sweetest' award 

Habitually on any short list of Minnesota's best bakeries, Hanisch Bakery and Coffee Shop is aiming for a bigger prize. Through July 31, Hanisch is in competition to be named the second annual "Sweetest Bakery in America," in a contest being run by Dawn Foods, a Jackson, Mich., bakery manufacturer and ingredients supplier.

St. Cloud Cracks the Top 10 for Snowiest April's on Record 

We officially had 1.1 inches of snow in St. Cloud Sunday. That brings us to 8.8 inches of snow for the month of April.

Fire in Hanley Falls 

A total of 10 area fire departments were called out to a large fire at a grain elevator in Hanley Falls early Friday morning. While there were no injuries reported in the fire, large embers blew into part of town, the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office said.
