Our View: Dodge County 'crosses line' in seizing photos

Search for owner of mystery wedding dress is on 

Over the weekend, a woman from Dodge Center found an abandoned wedding dress in a ditch in between Byron and Dodge Center, Schouweiler said. There was a tattered garment bag and a veil bag, which had a name printed on it.

Shining a Light on Stress after Tragedies: First Responders Coping Mechanisms 

There are no results yet from the autopsy that was scheduled on the body of a 7-year-old boy. Authorities say the boy's body was discovered in a deep part of Naylor pond; where he was last seen with friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Byron Funeral Home and a half hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Dodge Center city administrator resigns, moves to Waseca 

After 18 years in the role, Mattson has accepted a position in Waseca, where he will serve as city manager. Dodge Center Mayor Bill Ketchum said Mattson will be greatly missed, but he is excited for Mattson's new opportunity.

Council accepts City Administrator Lee Mattson's resignation 

After 18 years with City Administrator Lee Mattson as his right hand man, Mayor Bill Ketchum asked the council Monday night for a motion to accept Mattson's letter of resignation. There was no joy in the room as the motion was made and unanimously approved.

Fire at Dodge Center McNeilus plant put out quickly 

The Dodge Center Fire Department responded to the call at about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, arriving on the scene to find a garbage truck inside one of the painting booths at the facility ablaze. Fire Chief Dave Kenworthy said the fire was put out within about 20 minutes, and the rest of the facility was not in immediate danger.

Gosse joins WSU alumni board 

Jacquelyn Gosse of Dodge Center was recently elected to serve on the Winona State University Alumni Society Board of Directors. Gosse has a bachelor of arts in mass communication from WSU and master's degrees in management and health and human services from Saint Mary's University.

Oddchester: These stories come to a beastly conclusion 

In March 2016, passersby in Mankato saw a semi-truck drive across a parking lot, across a street and over a curb before it smashed into a parked car and hit a tree. When they went to check on the driver, they realized that the driver was a golden Lab.

Dodge Center Family's Dog Shot to Death 

When Steve and Jennifer go to work, they say they keep their mastiffs inside of a gated fence. It allows them to roam the three-acre property.
