CRMC's Kaleidoscope: A Celebration of Courage raised $41,385 

A total of $41,385 was raised for area cancer patients at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center's Kaleidoscope - A celebration of Courage event on October 23 in Crosby. The proceeds will benefit the Courage Cabinet which makes the journey a little easier for cancer patients by providing financial assistance to help meet basic needs and allow them to focus on healing.

Dispose of prescription medications Saturday50 min ago 

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday Oct. 27. In a news release, Crow Wing County Community Services encouraged residents to gather their unused medications and safely dispose at collections sites across the county.

Crosby native, Annie Adams, serves with versatile navy helicopter squadron, "Dragon Whales" 

A 2007 Crosby-Ironton High School graduate and Crosby native is serving with the U.S. Navy Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 28 in Norfolk, Virginia. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Annie Adams is an aviation electrician's mate serving with HSC 28, known as the "Dragon Whales."

Guy Sinks Full-Scale Jason Voorhees In Lake To Scare Other Divers 

These are a couple videos of the Jason Voorhees effigy that diver Curtis Lahr sunk in a lake that's popular for diving near Crosby, Minnesota. It's actually been there since 2013, and Curtis occasionally visits Jason to make sure he's doing alright and make another video.

Deputy locates vehicle off road, 16-year-old boy injured 

A 16-year-old teen was injured Tuesday, Oct. 16, when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway and crashed on Highway 6 and Beaver Drive in Crosby.

Change orders to Aitkin County building project 

The Aitkin County building project is 14 percent complete, Bruce Schwartzmann of the BKV Group reported during the board of commissioners meeting on Oct. 9. BKV is providing architectural services for the government center building project that is currently underway on 2nd St. NW in Aitkin. Precipitation has put a damper on progress.

Authorities Search for Missing Crow Wing County Woman 

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office is asking for the publics help in locating a missing 52-year-old woman from Crosby. Lisa Finnerty was last seen when she left her residence on Sunday, October 14th at around 11:00 p.m. No one has seen or heard from her since.
