Duluth Kraus-Anderson to build school addition 

The Duluth office of Kraus-Anderson Construction Company has been selected to build an Industrial Arts addition to Cromwell-Wright Public School, located at 5624 Highway 210 in Cromwell, Minn., 50 miles west of Duluth in Carlton County. Designed by DSGW Architects, the $2 million, 6,500-square-foot addition of industrial shops is expected to be completed in the spring of 2019.

Protesters march across rural Carlton County 

Led by a group of Anishinaabe drummers, about 100 people march down County Rd. 6 in Carlton County to the entrance of an Enbridge oil pipe storage yard Monday afternoon. The protest was peaceful.

Yetka and Hanson voting program at Carlton Co. Historical Society museum 

The Carlton County Historical Society welcomes Frank Yetka, Rolf Hanson and Norman Hanson, Jr. who will present a program about their fathers' election campaigns and the importance of voting on Friday, October 14, 2016, at 1 pm at its museum in Cloquet, MN. Both their fathers, Lawrence Yetka and Norman Hanson, Sr., served as elected officials representing Carlton County.

2 in Custody after Armed Robbery in Cromwell 

The Sheriff's Office says the victims were robbed at gunpoint by two people around 9 p.m. Sunday night near the Cromwell Pavilion. The victims were able to give a vehicle description to law enforcement, and Duluth Police arrested the suspects a short time later, according to the Sheriff's Office.
