Sunday morning house fire in rural Mower county 

A Mower County sheriff's deputy was sent to 59319 307th Street in Waltham after a 911 call by a child around 6:30 am. When the deputy arrived on scene, he says 26-year-old Jeremy Rohl and two boys, ages eight and nine, were standing next to a shed on the property as smoke was streaming out of the home.

Austin Man Arrested After 16 Mile High-Speed Chase 

According to the Mower County Sheriff's Office, around 10:30 p.m. Saturday a deputy spotted a vehicle swerving along County Road 2. The deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop but the driver would not pull over and a chase ensued onto a gravel road with speeds reaching 60 mph. A second deputy laid stop sticks across the road but the driver swerved to avoid them and began driving toward Brownsdale on County Road 2 with speeds reaching 100 mph.

High Speed Chase Ends Up in a Crash Near Rose Creek 

A high-speed chase that started in Brownsdale ended up in a field off Highway 56 near Rose Creek. Authorities told ABC 6 News that one person involved in the crash was brought to the hospital in Austin with non-life threatening injuries.
