In addition, the following are the five finalists for Let's Play Hockey's Senior Goalie of the Year award: Jace has covered a slew of sports since he joined the Pioneer Press in May 2015, but his primary duty is covering high schools. Jace enjoys the beat, even though he's been mistaken for a student on multiple occasions.

Dayton Proposes Nearly $100M in Northland Projects 

Gov. Mark Dayton has included nearly $100 million for projects in the Northland as part of his public works proposal. On Tuesday, Dayton released the full list of $1.5 billion in projects he's backing statewide.

Cliffs acquires private mineral rights, surface land near Nashwauk 

Cleveland-Cliffs Minnesota Land Development LLC has acquired real estate west of Nashwauk that, according to the mining company, previously were part of a bankruptcy acquisition by Chippewa Capital Partners. The land was acquired from Glacier Park Iron Ore Properties LLC. The interests are part of the Biwabik Iron Formation and include mineral and surface leases along with a combination of undivided and whole fee interests.

Arrowhead Transit launching grocery trips on East Range 

The closure of Aurora's only grocery store in 2016 resulted in limited healthy food options locally. Brian Bluhm, from the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency explains, "For many people, one of the biggest barriers to getting healthy food is transportation."
