Minnesota Football: Rapid Recap Gophers Lose 31-0 to Wisconsin 

It was never close as the Badger defense thoroughly dominated a Gopher offense that was incapable of moving the ball. Wisconsin won today's battle for the Axe 31-0 and finished their undefeated regular season.

'Unsafe cigarette smoking' blamed for fire death in home fire1 hour ago 

BADGER, Minn.-Authorities are blaming "unsafe cigarette smoking" for a fire that killed a Badger-area man early Monday, March 13. Emergency responders were called at 3:50 a.m. Monday to a house fire near Badger.

Minnesota Basketball Recruiting: Applying Context to Gopher Hoops Missing All of the Local Recruits 

This has been a strange recruiting cycle for the Gopher basketball program. After yesterday's announcement by Theo John that he'll be attending Marquette and McKinley Wright will be taking his skills to Dayton, the Gophers have officially gone 0-5 with local kids who have high-major talent.
