Floodwaters on the way along Mississippi 

The National Weather Service in La Crosse, Wis., expects the river to exceed flood stage in Wabasha on Thursday as the river rises past 12 feet. Downriver, the Mississippi will reach flood stage - 13 feet - in Winona on Sunday morning and rise to 13.3 feet by Sunday evening.

Greenspace: Listening session gives Mower County residents input on farm bill 

Mower County farmers, landowners and residents will have a chance to weigh in on the federal farm bill at a listening session in Austin next week. Staff for U.S. Sen. Tina Smith, D-Minn., will host the farm bill discussion at Riverland Community College on Wednesday.

The Latest: Attorney: Prince friend relieved no charges Source: AP 

At least one Prince fan says she doesn't believe he got justice when a Minnesota prosecutor announced that no criminal charges would be filed in the musician's accidental overdose death two years ago. Thirty-nine-year-old Kimberlee Andrus of Austin, Minnesota, attended the news conference Thursday where Carver County Attorney Mark Metz made the announcement.

Excerpts from recent Minnesota editorials 

A lot of interesting and potentially positive ideas have been floated as ways for Albert Lea to deal with Mayo Clinic Health System's plan to move inpatient hospital care from there to Austin. The notion of the city and/or county using eminent domain to keep Mayo from doing it isn't one of them.

Will Albert Lea seek 'eminent domain' in Mayo dispute? 

An additional twist regarding eminent domain may have been thrown in the hospital dispute between Albert Lea and Mayo Clinic. Officials were tight-lipped about the details that were discussed during Monday night's closed session.
