Saint Stephen is a city in Stearns County. Main routes include Stearns County Roads 2 and 5. Stearns County Roads 1 and 17 are both nearby. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.68 square miles (9.53 km2), all of it land. The elevation is 1,204 feet (367 m).

As of the census of 2010, there were 851 people, 305 households, and 234 families residing in the city. The population density was 231.3 inhabitants per square mile (89.3/km2). There were 316 housing units at an average density of 85.9 per square mile (33.2/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 99.1% White, 0.1% Native American, 0.1% Pacific Islander, and 0.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.7% of the population.

There were 305 households of which 42.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.9% were married couples living together, 6.2% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.6% had a male householder with no wife present, and 23.3% were non-families. 17.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.79 and the average family size was 3.19.

The median age in the city was 36.4 years. 30.1% of residents were under the age of 18; 6.3% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 28.4% were from 25 to 44; 23.9% were from 45 to 64; and 11.2% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 51.6% male and 48.4% female.

ST. STEPHEN is a city in Brockway, founded about 1858 and incorporated May 18, 1914, including the former townsite named Brockway, which was platted in 1857. The city has had a community post office since 1957.
