ANGORA Township (T. 61N, R. 18W) and the village in section 9 bear the name of a town in Turkey, celebrated for its long-haired goats, whose wool is largely exported. The village began as a station of the Duluth, Winnipeg and Pacific Railway; its post office was established in 1903.
